In October, my husband lead and directed the
Stake Pioneer Trek (more info on that amazing event still to be posted).
Needless to say, we were all exhausted and needed a break from life.
A trip to California to celebrate our wedding anniversary was just what the doctor ordered.
So off we went for a much needed and appreciated outing.

We could not leave town without eating lunch!! Rito's, our all time favorite mexican food restaurant was on the way. No pictures so just imagine how good that guacamole taco was.
Next stop, San Clemente. Thanks Moffats

Because Monty was fighting off a cold, he slept for the next 24 hours.
I read the Ensign, an Amy Tan novel, my new camera instructions book and anything else I could get my hands on.

By day 3 of our adventure we were ready for an outing that included the following stops:
- The American Girl Store at The Grove in West Hollywood (This is a cool mall.)
- Garment district in downtown L.A. (Monty bought a suit.)
- Downtown Disney for some more shopping
- Grand Californian Lobby (I can't get enough of this hotel!! Monty took a nap while I took more pictures for my files.)
- Napa Rose Restaurant (Fine dining with an open kitchen makes this restaurant Monty's favorite attraction at Disneyland.)

The next day, after sleeping in, we went to the Orange County Swap Meet. I cannot express to you how much I hate this place. Monty wandered for a few hours and I sat in the car and read more about how to use my camera. The entire day was not lost: The Crab Cooker was our lunch stop. Yippee!!
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Sadly, all good things must come to and end. Time to go back to home and life. The next day we picked up food from The Point Loma Seafood in San Diego and headed for home. B
