Why me?? No rest for the weary!!

For the last 13 years the west end of our family room has been a soaring brick wall that housed a fireplace, T.V., (broken) sound system, mantel and hearth.


Well, when I came home from the cannery last Tuesday, I found this. 6

By Friday, I hope to be human again with carpet and TV.

We had many wonderful helpers and friends stop by to assist us with this unplanned project.









P.S. Yes, the bats are gone and we are all sad. It is strange to have a solid wall. We will put in a "open-spindled railing" when we redo the kitchen next year.
